Efficient and Extremely Professional

Our live music venue in central Birmingham was subject to a few noise complaints. Very Pleased With The Service

The Cambridge Rock Festival is subject to achieving specific conditions in respect to noise break-out from the festival site and the environmental noise impact that potential noise emanating from the site could have on nearby residential dwellings. Sanctuary Acoustics gave us advise as well as assisting in noise monitoring on and off site at various locations near to dwellings in both Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire on the best ways to prevent and control excessive noise levels from the site. We were very pleased with the service provided by Sanctuary Acoustics and grateful for their assistance in undertaking noise monitoring together with their liaison with environmental health officers from both authorities during the festival to the satisfaction of all those concerned.

Provided Us With The Necessary Advicee

Sanctuary Acoustics provided us with the necessary advice in regards to building acoustics detailing which enabled us to confidently upgrade the existing walls and floors in a former civic building in Dowlais, Merthyr Tydfil which we were dividing up and converting into flats. The design advice provided enabled us to meet sound insulation criteria to comply with the building inspectors requirements as stipulated in Building Regulations Approved Document E.

Acoustic advice and assessments.

At Sanctuary Acoustics we conduct two primary roles; conducting noise surveys and architectural & building acoustics design.

Speech Intelligibility Measurements.

We can measure and test to STI and STIPA and provide you with a result from the measurement with further advice on the room acoustics if required.

Building & Room Acoustics Advice

We can give the right help to remedy your building and room acoustics problems to fulfil your needs.

Sound Insulation Testing

We can provide airborne and impact sound insulation testing of separating walls and floors between dwellings or rooms for residential purposes for submission to building control.

Anthony Frost

I founded Sanctuary Acoustics in 2011 as an independent acoustic consultancy specialising in noise surveys and general building acoustics design. We do have a particular interest in schools, recording & rehearsal studios and houses of worship.

Darren Ryder

He has completed the IOA's Post Graduate Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control and has been awarded an MSc in Applied Acoustics from the University of Derby.

Tim Sherlock-Brown

Tim Sherlock-Brown is a member of the I.O.A. with an MSc in Applied Acoustics. He also has a HND in advanced studio engineering practices and over 25 years live sound engineering experience. He prides himself on providing a friendly and efficient service, with rapid turn around
